Features
Pre-built dashboards, drag-and-drop reporting and role-aware security that speak the language of your LMS.
What you get
More than 20 ready-to-run dashboards for engagement, completion, certifications, time spent and more.
Build tables, charts and crosstabs with drag-and-drop fields, filters and calculated fields. No SQL for end users.
Run any report on demand or on a schedule, emailed to the people who need it as PDF, Excel or CSV.
Blend LMS data with HR, finance or CRM data to see training next to the outcomes it should move.
Dashboards
Combine charts, tables, crosstabs, filters, images and text on one canvas with the drag-and-drop Dashboard Designer.
One filter can drive every visual on the page, and any data point can drill through to another dashboard or report.
Ready on day one
Pre-built dashboards cover the reporting most Moodle and Totara teams need first. Duplicate any of them as a starting point for your own.
Ad hoc analysis
Administrators shape curated Domain Topics, so business users start from a clean, friendly set of fields instead of the full database.
From there, anyone with the right role can build a view, save it as a report and schedule it.
Security
Row-level security files apply your LMS structure to every report built on a data source. Site administrators keep full visibility.
LMS integration
Users open Zoola from the Zoola block in Moodle or Totara with no second password. Profiles, departments, positions and manager hierarchy come across from the LMS, and assigning a role in the LMS grants access in Zoola.
Zoola connects through a plugin installed on your LMS. Your LMS database must be directly accessible to Zoola’s servers, so include your IT team early when you plan setup.
Data blending
Join LMS data to your HRIS, finance system or CRM in the Data Source Designer, and the new fields appear in every report built on that source, with the same security rules.
Already standardized on Power BI or Tableau? Zoola can feed them rather than compete with them.
FAQ
No. The pre-built dashboards work as soon as access is assigned, and ad hoc views are drag-and-drop. An administrator only needs SQL to extend the data model, for example to add your custom profile fields, and that is a one-time task.
Yes. Row-level security follows the structure already in your LMS, so managers see their teams, department heads see their departments and learners see themselves. Folder, dashboard and report permissions add a second layer.
From your LMS. Once an administrator assigns a Zoola role in Moodle or Totara, users open Zoola from the Zoola block with no second password.
Yes. An administrator adds a derived table in the Data Source Designer once, and fields such as Region, Cost Center or Job Code appear as draggable columns in any ad hoc view.
No. Most organizations keep report builder for operational reports inside the LMS and use Zoola for reporting that crosses sources or systems, or that managers need to run themselves.
